Working Principle
When the diesel engine pump unit is in operation, the diesel engine drives the pump shaft to rotate via a coupling, which in turn drives the impeller inside the pump housing to rotate at high speed. Under the centrifugal force generated by the rotating impeller, the liquid inside the pump is flung toward the outer edge of the impeller, creating a low-pressure zone at the centre of the impeller. External liquid is drawn into the pump through the suction pipe under atmospheric pressure to fill the low-pressure zone. The liquid that is flung out gradually slows down within the pump casing, converting kinetic energy into pressure energy, and is ultimately discharged from the pump outlet at a certain pressure and flow rate, completing the fluid transportation process. The entire system does not require external power support; the mechanical energy generated by the combustion of diesel fuel is directly converted into the energy required for the pump to transport the liquid, enabling independent operation.
